ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter (and Fisttacuff Radio host) Anton Skoro caught up with young 21-year-old Nah-Shon “The Rock-N-Rolla” Burrell (8-1) of Philadelphia following his close split decision win over James Terry (11-4) Saturday night, Jan. 7, at “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” at the Hard Rock: Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Although controversial, the win was Burrell’s third straight under the Strikeforce banner. “The Rock-N-Rolla” shares his thoughts on the bout and explains how he hurt his already injured hand early in the fight. He also says he was surprised by Terry’s strength and it threw him off a little bit.

Burrell says the controversy does not take away from the bout, “a win is a win” and he chalks up his performance to an “off day” and will be looking to finish his next opponent. He admits the weight cut may have played a factor in that it was his first time cutting down from over 200 pounds but also says it is not an excuse. It was Burrell’s seventh straight victory.
