During Wednesday’s Afternoon Press Box, Darren and the boys spoke with Strikeforce middleweight standout Tim Kennedy (13-3) who will face veteran slugger Robbie Lawler (18-7, 1 NC) on Saturday’s “Fedor vs. Henderson” main card LIVE on Showtime.
Tim talked about his early days in the sport and training with Chuck Liddell at The PIT. He also talked about his desire to enlist after 9/11 and wanting to serve his country. He explained why he was awarded the Bronze Star and how fighting in real war helps his nerves in MMA competition.
Tim shared his thoughts on his MMA progression compared to Lawler, and why he considers him a very dangerous and worthy opponent. He also shared his frustration regarding recent MMA judging, particularly in his fight against “Jacare“.
