As reported previously at ProMMAnow.com, Shark Fights 13, scheduled for Sept. 11 at the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum in Amarillo, Texas, will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Keith Jardine and Trevor Prangley. Also, a co-main event between Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Houston Alexander at 205 lbs. was also announced.
On Wednesday, Shark Fight Promotions released the names of several other fighters and match-ups which will also be on the card.
Fresh off a third round submission victory at Impact FC 2 in Australia, former UFC welterweight Paul “Semtex” Daley will compete against a soon to be announced opponent.
Rising heavyweight force recently in the news because of his contract dispute with Bellator, Dave “Pee Wee” Herman will take on Aaron Rosa, Joey Villasenor will take on Drew McFedries, and another high profile fight is supposed to be announced next week.
Shark Fights President Brent Medley had this to say about the Sept. 11 event:
“We are extremely excited about the line-up for Shark Fights 13. Our goal is to pull together a solid card with 10 very compelling fights and we are well on our way to accomplishing that. The full fight card is very close to being solidified. I am currently negotiating with several high-profile fighters to fill in the gaps. Daley’s opponent and another stellar main card match-up will be announced soon. Shark Fight Promotions actually has several exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!”
