Little Nog vs. Luiz Cane to round off UFC 106 main card

The “UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2” main card is now a bit more interesting with the addition of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Luiz Cane. This light heavyweight match up adds some much needed depth to the pay-per-view portion of UFC 106, which airs live from Las Vegas on Nov. 21. The UFC has officially announced the long-rumored fight between the two Brazilians.

Antonio Rogerio “Minotoro” Nogueira, or Little Nog as he is known by die-hard MMA fans, is the twin brother of former UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira.

Shogun says Mark Coleman has no honor

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (16-3) gets a chance for redemption at UFC 93 on Jan.17 in Dublin, Ireland when he faces Mark “The Hammer” Coleman (15-8).

In February 2006 at PRIDE 31, Shogun lost a fight to Coleman by TKO when he fell to the mat, landed the wrong way and broke his arm early in round one. While most fighters would not revel in a win of this nature, Coleman celebrated his victory as if he had won a World MMA Grand Prix. On top of that, a riot broke out between the two camps.

Shogun recently spoke to MMA Sports magazine and discussed what getting another shot at Coleman means to him. Shogun also responds to hearing that Thierry Sokoudjou (5-3) wants to fight him.

Affliction: Day of Reckoning PPV and HDNet Match-ups Finalized

The colossal Affliction “Day of Reckoning” fight card has now been finalized with explosive bouts set for both Pay-Per-View and HDNet telecasts.

The scheduled 11-fight MMA extravaganza, including the much-anticipated main event battle between two of MMA’s most notorious heavyweights: Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko and Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, promises to be an entertaining night of raging, all-star fight action.
