In only his second UFC appearance Jake Rosholt defeats UFC vet Chris Leben.

This past weekend at UFC 102, Jake Rosholt (6-1) redeemed himself from a submission loss to Dan Miller in his UFC debut, with a “Submission of the Night” victory over Chris Leben that put “The Crippler” sound asleep (18-7) in the third round.

Rosholt dropped by Mandalay Bay on Monday to hang out with MMAJunkie Radio’s Gorgeous George and Goze to discuss his big win over the UFC veteran.

Despite Leben’s recent suspension due to testing positive for steroids, Rosholt spoke only positive about “The Crippler.” “I have nothing bad to say about the guy. Leben is a class act,” said Rosholt.

Brandon Vera had a three round war with Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 102, and although Vera won, he wanted to KO "The Polish Experiment."

Brandon “The Truth” Vera (11-3) had a dominating unanimous decision performance this past weekend over Krzysztof Soszynski (18-9-1) at UFC 102 in Portland, Ore. Brandon was a guest this morning on MMAJunkie Radio and talked about the fight and what the future holds for the light heavyweight prospect.

Although pleased he got the win, Vera is definitely the type of fighter who does not like to leave it in the judges’ hands. “It was a good fight. It was fun to go three rounds again,” said Vera. “I wish I would have finished the fight. I hate when it goes to the judges’ scorecards. It was unsatisfying I guess you could say.”

If you have not yet seen the Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer fight from UFC 102, you need to watch it; if for nothing else, to see Tuchscherer take one of the nastiest kicks to the groin ever, get assaulted by the doctors, have a coughing fit, throw up, and then continue to fight only to catch one of Gonzaga’s nasty high kicks to the dome and basically take the equivalent of a jailhouse gang rape with a rusty lead pipe. It was one heck of a UFC debut for the Brock Lesnar look-alike (If Brock’s muscles all turned to flab) and training partner.

You know how UFC President Dana White has been making up with everyone? (We still have yet to learn why White has turned into “Mr. Nice Guy.” You can bet there’s something deeper here.) Well, now even Sherdog seems to be back in the Godfather’s good graces as Greg Savage gets exclusive one-on-one time with the Don after UFC 102.
