In the main event at Sunday night’s WEC 42 event in Las Vegas, Miguel Torres took on the undefeated, yet much less experienced Brian Bowles.
However, the lack of experience did not prevent Bowles from believing in himself. He said after the fight that most of Torres’ opponents buy too much into his hype.
Bowles appeared to be bigger and stronger and his confidence was noticeable. Torres began the fight with leg kicks but it was not long until he found himself on his back from a takedown. Torres got back to his feet and landed a big right hand that stunned Bowles. Torres then moved in for the attack throwing a flurry, and that is when he got caught.
