ESPN’s MMA Live will be on location at UFC 91

Exactly one week from today the Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar hype will come to an end. No more interviews, no more training and no more advertisements enticing fans to purchase the Pay-Per-View.

However, before these two heavyweights step into the Octagon get ready for one wild and groundbreaking week of media coverage.

It has been reported that ESPN’s MMA Live will air three shows coinciding with UFC 91.  MMA Live will put on a live weigh-in show along with pre-fight and post-fight coverage of the event.

Pro MMA Radio interview with Brock Lesnar

We are now less than two weeks away from what is being billed as “the biggest fight in UFC history.”  That is an enormous title to live up to; but for different reasons, if there are two MMA fighters who can live up to the challenge it is these two Octagon warriors.  On the one hand we have Randy “the Natural” Couture; the wise and weathered veteran who has seen it all, been through it all, and sits upon the throne as King of the UFC.

But a famed warrior reminiscent of Conan has burst through the castle doors and challenged the ruler to a duel in front of the whole kingdom.  This warrior is bigger, faster, stronger and in many ways the antithesis of our battle-hardened king.  It will be a fight for the ages, for all the glory and all the treasure the Master of the Octagon deserves.

Brock Lesnar headlines Pro MMA Radio today!

UFC Superstar Brock Lesnar joins Pro MMA Radio with less than two weeks to go before his epic showdown with UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture at UFC 91 in Las Vegas. Brock will break down his training for the fight and his thoughts on Randy and his shot at the title.

UFC: Sport or Entertainment?

I woke up today a bit confused. After watching a recent video interview with Randy Couture where he says that no one is pretending Brock Lesnar is the number one contender for the UFC Heavyweight Title, but rather it is “about the eyeballs,” it just got me to thinking.

Is the top MMA promotion in the world a sports league? I find myself telling people “MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world” and often I point to the UFC as proof of that. They are being covered by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and innumerable sports news affiliates around the world. So I know I’m not crazy when I consider what the UFC does a sport.
