“Art of War 15: Ueyama vs. Aohailin” took place Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at the National Olympic Sports Center in Beijing, China. The main event saw undefeated submission expert Ao Hai Lin (6-0) continue his win streak by out-pointing the much more experienced Ryuki Ueyama (10-13-4), and taking home a tough fought unanimous decision victory. It was the first time in Ao Hai Lin’s professional career that anyone had ever taken him the distance, or even past the first round for that matter.

“Art of War 15” had a significance for the promotion beyond the fights themselves. For the first time, the Chinese MMA organization implemented a new judging system that would prevent fights that go the distance from automatically being ruled a draw. Wang draws, Gracie wins at “Art of War 14: Ground Zero” – full results

“Big” John McCarthy may not be welcome in Nevada, but he made the trip to China to serve as referee for “Art of War 14: Ground Zero,” which took place at the Cotai Arena in Macao on Sept. 26, 2009.

In the main event, The Ultimate Fighter 7 veteran Andy Wang from Taipei, China, took on Japanese Shootboxing veteran Atsuhiro Tsuboi. As the fight went into the second round Wang was picked apart with strikes. With his corner yelling to take the fight to the ground, Wang chose to remain standing, taking the fight the distance, and thereby ending the main event in an anti-climactic draw.

“Art of War 14: Ground Zero” takes place in Macao, China on Sept. 26

“Art of War 14: Ground Zero” takes place at the Cotai Arena in Macao, China on Sept. 26, 2009. In the main event, The Ultimate Fighter veteran Andy Wang from Taipei, China, will take on Japanese Shootboxing veteran Atsuhiro Tsuboi. Wang spoke about his opponent, “I have seen Tsuboi in action and he is one tough guy! That’s perfect for me because I’m always looking to fight the toughest guys.”

Tsuboi will be making his second appearance in Art of War. He fought Dai Shuang Hai at AOW 12 and after a very tough back and forth battle, the match ended in a draw.
