AFFLICTION: DAY OF RECKONING goes off this Saturday, Jan. 24

Affliction returns to Anaheim, California this Saturday, January 24th for “Day of Reckoning” featuring perhaps the most anticipated bout in MMA history as current World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts (WAMMA) Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko defends his belt against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski.

Also on the card at heavyweight is Josh “Babyface Assassin” Barnett who takes on Gilbert Yvel. In a light-heavyweight match, current Strikeforce Champion Renato “Babalu” Sobral takes on Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou. Matt Lindland will face former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort at middleweight.

Headlining the undercard, which will be broadcast on HDNet Fights, the last IFL Light-Heavyweight Champion Vladimir Matyushenko will take on PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. The main card will air on Pay-Per-View starting at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Here’s the full fight card:

Affliction: Day of Reckoning PPV and HDNet Match-ups Finalized

The colossal Affliction “Day of Reckoning” fight card has now been finalized with explosive bouts set for both Pay-Per-View and HDNet telecasts.

The scheduled 11-fight MMA extravaganza, including the much-anticipated main event battle between two of MMA’s most notorious heavyweights: Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko and Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, promises to be an entertaining night of raging, all-star fight action.

“Day of Reckoning” takes place on Saturday, January 24 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California and will be televised live on Pay-Per-View at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The show is stacked with great match-ups and some of the best talent in MMA today. The Emelianenko vs. Arlovski bout will decide who will be the reigning heavyweight champion of the world.

Kitaoka & Santiago are GP winners at Sengoku 6

World Victory Road’s Sengoku 6 took place on November 1st at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan and featured the conclusion of its lightweight and middleweight grand prix.

Not part of the grand prix but serving as definite highlights of the card were “King Mo” Muhammad Lawal and brother of UFC interim HW Champ, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
