UFC lightweight Joe Duffy will be headlining the UFC Dublin event against Dustin Poirier on October 24 in Ireland. Duffy (14-1) is Irish and is the last man to have defeated Conor McGregor. That bout took place in 2010 where Duffy submitted McGregor in just 38 seconds in his seventh career fight. Duffy is now (2-0) in UFC with both wins via stoppage, one submission and one TKO, but will be facing a huge test in Poirier later this month. Duffy is training in Canada at the well respected Tristar Gym, which is home to former UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and current UFC welterweight contender Rory MacDonald.
