The UFC promotion will be back in action on Saturday, February 6th, on FOX Sports 1 with UFC Fight Night 82 (formerly known as UFC 196). The event will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be headlined by the UFC welterweight scrap between former champion Johny Hendricks and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. The co-main event will now feature a heavyweight bout between Roy Nelson and Jared Rosholt.
The event was originally supposed to be headlined by the UFC heavyweight title fight between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez. However, both pulled out of the fight due to injuries sustained in training camp.
The preliminary fights will air on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The preliminary fights will transition over to FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET. The main card will air on FOX Sports 1 at 10 p.m. ET.
