Reigning flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson puts his title on the line once again in a rematch with top contender John Dodson in the UFC 191 main event Saturday night, Sept. 5, from Las Vegas. The event kicks off with preliminary card action at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT), moving to the main card 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT).
Resurgent heavyweight veterans Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir meet in the co-main event, while top light heavyweights Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Jimi Manuwa will also meet on the pay-per-view main card.

UFC 191 ROUND-BY-ROUND UPDATES
Joaquim Silva vs. Nazareno Malegarie
Round 1- Silva likely took the round with the better striking and Malegarie’s corner agrees. Malegarie was cut during the round. Silva landed a flying knee near the end.
Round 2 – Malegarie with a couple takedowns early. Pretty close round. Malegarie landed some good shots but they weren’t doing any damage really. Silva finished stronger. Silva’s corner wants to see some kicks.
Round 3 – Silva landing some hard shots to start the round, a knee to the body and a couple hard punches. He’s throwing kicks now too. Silva still being the aggressor for the most part. Nice jabs and a right from Malegarie. Silva with a leaping knee. Malegarie responds with a left hook. Big kicks from Silva smash Malegarie’s forearm. Takedown from Malegarie but he instantly gets up. Close fight.

Joe Riggs vs. Ron Stallings
Round 1- Touch gloves. Stallings is working him over with punches, lands a hard jab in the eye and Riggs momentarily has some trouble. Riggs appears to have recovered for the most part and is fighting back now. Takedown from Riggs, but gets caught in a triangle, then an omoplata, Riggs rolls and they scramble, Stallings ends up on top in side mount. Riggs gets up, and scores a trip takedown. Riggs landing some nice elbows. Nice up kick from Stallings and it hits Riggs in his bad eye, and he’s squinting a lot, wincing. Riggs finishes on top in side mount landing knees. 10-9 Riggs
Round 2 – Riggs has a nasty scratch on the side of his face in the corner of his eye. The doctor kept asking Riggs if he was okay and his coach kept saying he was fine. Right hook and a straight left from Riggs drops Stallings. He gets full mount but Stallings recovers with full guard. Riggs smashes Stallings with some nasty elbows that cut him up. Riggs’ eye is clearly hurt but he’s doing some damage right now. More elbows and punches from Riggs and Stallings is cut up and bleeding. Three minutes left in the round and Riggs still giving punishment from inside full guard. Stallings just landed an illegal up kick and it appeared to hit his already injured right eye. The doctor is checking out Riggs again, and his coach isn’t with him this time. He just told the doc he can’t see and they stop the fight. This was a really good fight too.

Clay Collard vs. Tiago Trator
Round 1- Collard showing some nice boxing, also taunting Trator at times. Trator scored a takedown but instantly got reversed. Trator goes for a leg and uses this to take top control and full mount. Trator ends the round going for a standing rear-naked choke on Collard when the bell sounds. 10-9 Trator.
Round 2 – Punch combo and body kick from Collard. Collard throwing a lot of crazy spinning strikes. None of them landing. But he is landing some nice punches, and finally lands with a spinning elbow and drops Trator with a left. Collard attacks but gets caught in an armbar. He escapes, they scramble and Trator takes top control inside half guard. Full mount. Collard gives up his back as Trator goes for the choke. Collard ends up on top dropping elbows and punches. Collard finishes the round landing some nice body shots. 10-9 Collard.
Round 3 – Leg kick from Trator buckles Collard. Big right from Trator knocks Collard backward snapping his head back as well. Trator landing some nice punches now. He shoots for a takedown, stuffed. Collard scores on the break. Another nice right from Trator. Takedown from Collard but Trator is right back up. Collard rolls for a leg but ends up on bottom taking punches at the bell. Pretty close round and fight.

Jessica Andrade vs. Raquel Pennington
Round 1- It’s a dog (cat?) fight from the beginning, both throwing heat. Andrade presses her to the cage then picks her up high for a takedown, now inside Pennington’s full guard. Back to the feet as Andrade tries taking her back. They trade punches against the cage before Adnrade takes her down again, but she bounces right up. Andrade tees off but Pennington fires back against the cage. Another takedown from Andrade before the bell. 10-9 Andrade.
Round 2 – Some nice striking exchanges to start the round. Pennington getting off with some nice punch combos. Pennington ducks under a Superman punch with a takedown. Andrade catches her in a guilltone attempt. Stands up with her, knee on the break. Another takedown from Pennington and again she gets caught in a guillotine. Rocky pulls her head out and stacks Andrade with punches. Pennington ends up taking her back and choking Andrade and forcing the tap with only a second or two left in the round.

Francisco Rivera vs. John Lineker
Round 1- Rivera gets clipped with a left hook in a fire fight and goes down. He fights his way to his feet and engage in a slugfest of epic proportions until Lineker jumps on a guillotine and Rivera taps out.

Ross Pearson vs. Paul Felder
Round 1- Pearson scoring with strikes until Felder pushes him to the cage. After some extended clinch fighting Pearson scores with a takedown with about 2 minutes to go. Felder landing some elbows off his back, Pearson stacks him. Felder back up and lands a couple elbows in the clinch, a hard knee to the body. Felder falls on a spinning backfist as Pearson throws a body kick at the bell. Close fight.
Round 2 – Pretty close round, stayed on the feet with some decent exchanges.
Round 3 – With a busted up nose Felder landed a wheel kick in the final minute. The rest of the round was spent exchanging strikes on the feet. Pretty close round, Felder finishes strong.

Paige VanZant vs. Alex Chambers
Round 1- Paige getting the better of the standup, doing some good work in the clinch. Alex drops down for a leglock attempt in the last minute. Paige defends and Alex is back up ending the round in the clinch. 10-9 VanZant.
Round 2 – Thai clinch and knees to the body from Paige. VanZant with constant pressure. Clinches up. Paige ends up hurting her with punches and tries to finish. Alex hangs tough but gets taken down and continuously assaulted until the bell saves her. 10-8 VanZant.
Round 3 – VanZant gets Chambers to the ground early, first goes for a choke, then gets full mount and jumps on a quick Rousey-esque armbar and Chambers taps quickly.

Jan Blachowicz vs. Corey Anderson
Round 1- Big left kick to the body from Blachowicz, then a takedown a few moments later but Anderson is right back up. Anderson ends up getting a takedown of his own, but can’t keep Blachowicz down. Some big punches from Anderson, knees from the clinch. 10-9 Anderson.
Round 2 – Blachowicz with a nice body kick. Anderson with some punches and a takedown. Anderson beats Blachowicz up from top control for several minutes. Blachowicz unable to do anything except eat shots. 10-8 Anderson.
Round 3 – Takedown from Anderson early. A repeat of last round. Anderson with some nasty elbows from the top. He stands up for a few seconds but goes right back into Blachowicz’s guard where he goes back to dominating. Blachowicz finally tries to scramble, gets to his feet for a split second before he gets put right back down. 10-8 Anderson.

Anthony Johnson vs. Jimi Manuwa
Round 1- Touch gloves. Leg kick Manuwa, high kick blocked. Leg kick from Rumble, he hurts Manuwa with punches but seems to have recovered. Manuwa eats a big right and then Johnson puts him on his butt. Manuwa gets to his knees but Rumble is all over him holding him in place and landing punches. Manuwa gets to his feet but Johnson never lets go of him and dumps him right back down, takes top control in half guard. Gets mount, then right back to half. Manuwa gets up, eats a right. He’s coming forward, high kick, leg kick, he pushes Johnson to the cage. They exchange knees to the thighs. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 2 – Right from Johnson. Big body kick and then a right from Johnson drops Manuwa and it’s over.

Frank Mir vs. Andrei Arlovski
Round 1- This is exciting. Mir is chubby. Arlovski connects first with a right and Mir pins him to the cage. Andrei gets distance. Arlovski avoids Mir’s punches for the most part. Andrei fires back and connects. Hard leg kick from Andrei. Leg kick from Andrei again. Mir pushes him to the cage. Andrei turns him around backs up with a left, gets some space. Right hand, and Mir pushes him to the cage. Andrei gets some space, Mir tries to clinch, lands a left hook and presses on him. Andrei turns him around and presses Mir on the cage, backs out with a knee. Leg kick, right hand. Andrei looks good on his feet. Close round but I give it to Andrei 10-9 as Mir mostly wanted to clinch.
Round 2 – Mir with an early takedown. He postures up and works the ground and pound from inside full guard. This is now where Andrei wants to be with Mir. Elbows to the body from Mir. Andrei holding on looking for the standup. Ref stands them up. Nice body kick from Arlovski. Frank slowing down. Lands a nice left, another, then pushes Andrei to the cage. Andrei turns him around and backs out. Plenty of time. Leg kick from Andrei. Mir starting to move slower. He ducks a hook. Mir attempts a spinning backfist at the end of a punch combo but Andrei blocks it. Back to the center, Andrei with a nice right. Mir talking to him. Andrei knocks his mouthpiece out. Andrei lands more punches and presses him to the cage before the bell. 10-9 Arlovski. … Mir’s round tells him he won. He could have.
Round 3 – Right from Andrei and Mir pushes him to the cage. Andrei turns him around. Ref separates them. Mir ducks an overhand right and they end up in the clinch against the cage again. Knees to the thighs from Andrei. Ref wants action. Elbow from Andrei scores against the side of Mir’s head. Ref separates them again. Mir ducks a right… he ends up dropping Arlovski with a right hand but Andrei recovers and is back on his feet. Mir presses him to the cage and ref ends up having to separate them again. Nice jab from Andrei. Right from Andrei next. Leg kick. Mir is bleeding pretty heavy next to his right eye. Andrei pressing him to the cage with seconds left. Mir backs out. 10-9 Mir I guess for the knockdown, but I want to give it to Arlovski.

Andrei says afterward that he’s disappointed with his performance. He wanted to finish Mir. He also says he underestimated him.
Demetrious Johnson (c) vs. John Dodson – for flyweight title
Round 1- Dodson comes out fast attacking. No way can I give a blow by blow here but I’ll do my best to sum it up. DJ gets low a la Jon Jones for a second. Right from Johnson. Body shot from Dodson. Nice right hook from Johnson but his shot is stuffed. Body kick from Johnson. High kick from Johnson. Love seeing their footwork. So light on their toes. Both guys connecting with strikes, DJ shoots for the single but Dodson defends. Lead right hook and another right behind it from Johnson as he shoots in again. Stuffed. But he’s controlling the pace and action. Body kick from Dodson. They trade kicks before the bell. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 2 – They trade kicks, overhand left from Johnson. Dodson catches a kick and dumps Johnson. He lets him up. High kick from Johnson. They trade front kicks and Johnson goes for a single but Dodson defends and circles to the center. Left counter from Dodson stuns Johnson, he shoots in but gets stuffed and slung against the cage. Dodson lets him out. Front kick from Johnson. Lead right and clinch from Johnson, presses Dodson to the cage, but he turns Johnson around. He backs out. Johnson attacks with constant pressure, he snaps Dodson’s head back with a punch and Dodson presses him to the cage. He pushes Johnson to the ground but he’s righ tup. Body kick then a head kick from Johnson. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 3 – Leg kick Dodson. Johnson shoots in for the single, presses Dodson to the cage and touches him up with right hands and an elbow. This is a hell of a technical fight between two extremely athletic and tough durable guys. Johnson shoots, turns the corner quick but Dodson won’t go down. Johnson presses him to the cage, lands a nice elbow. Dodson is cut around his left cheek. Spinning elbow from Jonnson scores in the clinch. Right, left, then a high kick from Johnson. … No, no, get out of the way Mighty Mouse tells the ref when he tries to stop it after Johnson takes a low blow…. He’s on a mission, sir, please step away. Johnson presses him to the cage and touches him up before getting the takedown. Dodson gets up but instantly gets scooped back down. Back up. Johnson with some slick moves before the bell, ending with a flying knee and under the legs of Herb Dean. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 4 – Johnson hurts Dodson with a punch combo against the cage, but he recovers okay. Leg kick from Dodson. Johnson gets a hold of a single, lets it go, left hook from Dodson on the break. Right hand a knee from Johnson. Another right. Stalemate for a few moments against the cage. Johnson catches him with a couple shots on the break, then gets a takedown. Lands some shots as Dodson gets up. Deep breath from Dodson. Quick right hand from Johnson before the bell. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 5 – Johnson gets low. Body kick from Dodson. Quick right from Johnson, the shot, the stuff. Right counter from Johnson stuns him. Body shot from Johnson, with the constant pressure. Johnson with a big takedown. Dodson gets to his feet. Right hand from Johnson. Nice right again snaps Dodson’s head back. Again. Johnson grabs a single and pushes Dodson to the cage, lands a couple elbows then picks him up for a big slam. Nice right snaps Dodson’s head back as they get back up. Right from Dodson. Less than a minute to go. Dodson looking for the heater. Clinched against the cage now. Boos from the crowd. That’s it. Dodson raises his hands. Then Johnson. Rogan says he doesn’t know why Dodson is raising his hands, it was a “shut out” in his opinion. They showed great respect for each other after the fight.
