Brazilian reporter Ana Hissa has tweeted out this photo (see below) of the injured rib UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo sustained leading up to what was to be a July 11th title defense against Conor McGregor at UFC 189. There’s a David J. Chao, M.D. who gives his analysis of the X-ray, saying the fighter has suffered a definite fracture.

The conspiracy theorist would ask why there’s no photo of Aldo’s bruised body? For PR sake alone it seems like you would want that photo out there. Here’s another question. How is it one doctor (American) can look at the X-rays and say it’s only a bruised rib and another (Brazilian) look at it and say there’s a definite fracture?

Let’s not get carried away. Aldo is not scared of Conor McGregor. That’s just crazy. The guy is amazing but he does have a certain knack for getting hurt and pulling out of fights — five times according to UFC President Dana White. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Some feel Chad Mendes is a more suitable opponent for the Irishman anyway because at least then a title fight would be “justified”. Anyways, enjoy the broken rib X-ray pics cause that’s about all we’re going to see of the champ until at least October.

  1. “Let’s not get carried away. Aldo is not scared of Conor McGregor. That’s just crazy.”

Pure speculation that wholly contradicts the the facts.
Conor said Jose would find a way out of this fight and Weasel Outo Jr found his way out.

To cede so sheepishly – and at great financial cost – indicates he was too afraid of losing.
