The upcoming UFC 180 PPV has been ravished by the injury bug again. We reported that UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez was forced to withdraw from his fight against Fabricio Werdum. Now, Joe Lauzon has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 180 fight against Diego Sanchez. Sanchez will not receive a new opponent and will fight at a later date.
The UFC 180 fight card will now go on with 11 fights on the night, including the UFC Latin America TUF featherweight and bantamweight finals.
The event will take place on November 15 in Mexico City and will be headlined by the UFC heavyweight interim title fight between Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt.
The PPV portion of the fight card is below:
- Fabricio Werdum vs. Mark Hunt
- Jake Ellenberger vs. Kelvin Gastelum
- Ricardo Lamas vs. Dennis Bermudez
- Edgar Garcia vs. Hector Urbina
- Jessica Eye vs. Leslie Smith
