wwe_NightofChampions14_posterWWE’s Night of Champions 2014 Pay-Per-View takes place this evening (Sept. 21) from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will rematch John Cena in the night’s main event, and four other titles will be on the line tonight too.

The Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match is not happening tonight due to Reigns suffering an injury Friday night and having to undergo emergency surgery.

1. The Usos vs. Gold and Stardust – Tag Team Championship

#tagtitles #WWENOC Looking like Stardust is going to get the pin, but Jimmy Uso kicks out at the last possible second. This one goes back and forth a few more times before Uso gets on the top rope to jump on Stardust, who looks to land a knee that hurts Uso. Stardust is then able to pin the Uso brother at the 12:47 mark.

2. Sheamus vs. Cesaro – U.S. Championship

#USTitle Cesaro gets Sheamus in a sleeper and it looks like it could be close.  Sheamus escapes but gets suplexed. Sheamus gets up then gets clotheslined and almost pinned. Sheamus bounces back and lands two Irish Curse Backbreakers — but he still can’t pin Cesaro. Sheamus gives him 10 beats across the chest. Cesaro gets to the top ropes and Sheamus throws him by the hands over his head on his back. Cesaro almost ends it countering a Bro Kick with a flying clothesline. Sheamus almost ends it with big slam and they both are down. Sheamus gets up first, misses a Bro Kick and Cesaro tries to pin him twice but can’t. Cesaro counters another Bro Kick and almost gets the pin another time. He’s wondering how to finish Sheamus. Slaps him across the face several times. Sheamus gets up and they are slapping each other. Cesaro gives him a boot to the face. Sheamus comes back and finally lands the Bro Kick and it’s enough to get the pin and keep his U.S. Title.

3. Dolph Ziggler (with R-Ziggler) vs. The Miz (with Damien Sandow) – Intercontinental Championship

Commentator: “Miz said he was ‘disgusted to be in Nashville’ and it was the D-list Hollywood.” Dolph hurts Miz with a clothesline and they are both on the canvas. Ziggler lands two more clotheslines as they get up. He almost gets the pin on a counter, then they both go out the ring. Ziggler roughing Miz up and throws him back in the ring. Mizdow intervenes and hurts Ziggler, then hurts R-Ziggler. Some country singers special guests, Florida Georgia Line, get involved after being confronted by Mizdow and push him to the ground. “You don’t get to do that at the Grand Ole Opry,” the commentator says. … Back in the ring Miz almost taps out Dolph with a leglock. Ziggler firs back, but gets distracted by Mizdow. This allows Miz to roll him over and get the pin — albeit a cheap way. Miz hugs Intercontinental Belt as he wiggles around on the floor in ecstasy.

Winner: Miz

Seth Rollins comes out to talk about Roman Reigns being sent into emergency surgery. He says that it’s no excuse for Reigns not to show up tonight. Rollins says he’s giving Reigns 10 seconds to get there or he will accept his victory by forfeit. He then has the ref count down from 10.  They announce Rollins the winner. Rollins then says, “It’s not official to you raise my hand.” The ref raises it and he gloats. Rollins then issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room to come out and give him a match right now. He waits, saying it’s an “opportunity of a lifetime” to face Mr. Money in the Bank. A cab pulls up and Dean Ambrose gets out and makes his way to the ring. He immediately takes Rollins down, lands a flurry of punches then throws him out the ring and into the stands as Ambrose continues the assault, throwing him down the stairs. Ambrose flips him on to the concrete floor. Triple H and his team of goons come in to try and stop Ambrose but they all get taken out. Now Ambrose chases down Rollins again, gets on top and lands several punches, then elbows, then clotheslines him over the barrier. He follows Rollins into the ring with a chair but gets stopped by Triple H and security. It takes like six guys to haul Ambrose out handcuffed in his jeans and t-shirt kicking and screaming, literally. Rollins did challenge anybody.

4. Mark Henry vs. Rusev (with Lana)

After Henry starts out strong, it goes outside the ring and Rusev smashes him into the ring post and stairs hurting Henry’s back. He puts him back in the ring where he batters Henry some more. Henry kicks out of the first pin attempt. Henry starts to turn things around but Rusev comes back, looking for the Accolade finish. Henry escapes and starts to choke Rusev but takes a kick to the mid-section. Rusev runs at him but Henry catches him and slams him. Both are hurt and Rusev is outside the ring. Rusev gets back in, drop kicks Henry then goes for the Accolade. And Henry taps out this time.

Winner: Rusev

5. Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton

Jericho throws Orton out the ring and works him over a bit before throwing him back in. Orton turns it around here and is working Jericho over in the corner, as he runs at him he eats a foot to the face. Then he eats two feet to the face. Jericho gets to the top rope but takes too long and Orton kicks his feet out, Jericho left hanging in the ropes. Orton suplexes him off the top rope, but can’t get the pin. Orton works Jericho out on the floor for a minute, takes him in but can’t get the pin, so he throws him back out on the floor. He slams him on the announcers table, then throws him back in. Still can’t get the pin. Jericho turns it around with a kick to the face, but ends up missing the pin. Orton turns it around with a powerslam counter off the ropes. Orton misses a flying knee and Jericho counters. He gets to the top rope and lands an elbow. Orton takes some more bumps before landing a backbreaker of his own. Jericho counters and backflips off the rope for an attempted pin. Orton comes back and looks for a DDT off the rope. Jericho counters but gets thrown into the turnpost head first. Orton runs toward Jericho for a head kick but Jericho moves and ends up putting Orton in the Walls of Jericho. Orton trying to get to the ropes. Jericho pulls him away and cranks on it. Orton is able to crawl back under Jericho’s legs and hits a DDT on him. Jericho down, Orton gets up and is about to end this but Jericho pops up and counters. Orton kicks out of the pin though. Jericho climbs on the top rope, jumps but gets caught in Orton’s RKO finish and pins him. Boom!

Paige vs. AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella – Divas Championship

#DivasTitle Nikki almost pins AJ after knocking Paige out the ring. She picks AJ back up for another slam but still can’t pin her. AJ counters but gets caught coming off the top rope. AJ goes for the Black Widow but Paige comes in and tries to pin them both, but can’t. Paige puts AJ on the top rope. Nikki comes up from behind and tries to slam them both, and they all three end up on the canvas and hurt. AJ rolls out of the ring. Nikki picks Paige up on her shoulders, slams her and goes for the pin. AJ breaks it up and puts Paige in a Black Widow. Paige starts to get out but AJ locks her up again and gets the tap and the Divas Title back.

Winner: AJ Lee

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena – Heavyweight Championship

Will Cena turn heel and get the win or is Lesnar here to stay as champion? Lesnar starts crushing Cena right away but gets countered with a couple clotheslines and a big slam, then tries to pin Lesnar but he kicks out pretty quick. Lesnar locks up a kimura from off his back, has full guard. Cena grabs the ropes and forces the break. Lesnar goes back to working him over as the crowd chants. Lesnar with the German Suplex. Cena attacks with wild punches but Lesnar puts him down. Lesnar goes for another kimura but Cena grabs the ropes again. Lesnar ducks a clothesline and suplexes Cena all the way across the ring, landing on his head.  … Lesnar hits three suplexes in a row, but can’t get the pin. Lesnar lands some knees and tries to pin him again. Can’t get it. He puts Cena in the corner and lands a few knees to the body. Cena fires back with punches to the head and body. Lesnar counters, throws him to the ropes and smashes him with a clothesline. Commentators talking about Lesnar’s UFC and collegiate wrestling credentials. Lesnar goes back to cranking on Cena’s arm. He grabs the ropes again. Lesnar with a belly to belly suplex. Cena fires back with punches to the face. Lesnar puts him in the corner and rams his shoulder into his body a few times, dropping him to the canvas. Lesnar throws him to the ropes but Cena counters. As it looks like he’s turning it around, Lesnar counters with a German suplex. Lesnar’s bleeding from his nose from one of those elbows earlier. Another shoulder to the body of Cena in the corner. Lesnar takes his gloves off. Lifts Cena up and drives him across the ring into the turnbuckles. As Lesnar takes his time here, Cena runs and slams Lesnar, but can’t pin him. Lesnar goes for the F5 but Cena counters and goes for a submission. Lesnar counters and goes for the kimura. Cena can’t get to the ropes this time. Cena stands up with Lesnar still holding full guard. He drives Lesnar into the turnbuckle and gets free. He picks Lesnar up for an Attitude Adjustment, then goes for the STF looking to make Lesnar give up. He drags Lesnar to the center and goes for the STF again. Lesnar gets to the ropes and Cena pulls him back to the center. Lesnar won’t tap. Cena picks him up for another AA. Rollins runs in and takes Cena out with his briefcase. Cena on the arena floor. Rollins comes in and cashes in his Money in the Bank. He goes in to finish Lesnar but Cena drives him away. Lesnar picks up the distracted Cena and slams him with an F5. Cena is done but, he’s declared the winner by DQ — therefore Lesnar keeps the belt.

Winner: John Cena by DQ (Lesnar still champ)
