KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — ProMMAnow.com’s Gary Thomas caught up with Wolf Clan Combat welterweight Craig Johnson (6-0 am, 1-0 pro) of Knoxville, Tenn. following his pro debut victory at “XFC 20: High Octane” Friday night at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium.

Johnson picked up a second round TKO victory over Clarksville’s Zach Odom (2-4). Johnson said Odom was tougher than he thought he would be. He also said he was not terribly happy with his own performance but was happy with the result. Johnson was glad to pick up that first pro paycheck and is looking to get right back in the gym and get ready for the next one.

  1. Craig Johnson is a well trained and well rounded fighter. That was an impressive debut for his first pro fight. He has what it takes (The ambition he needs and the willingness to train and fight as much as necessary to stay in the excellent fighting shape he retains in all of his matches.) to go as far as he chooses. He sets a very high bar! Those of us who are lucky enough to know him also respect him for his humbleness and the way in which he represents himself!
