We’re approximately six weeks away from ONE FC’s biggest event, Pride of a Nation, which will be making history in the Philippines. While you get psyched up for that event which will feature some of the best mixed martial artists in Asia and the world, including Shinya Aoki, Bibiano Fernandes, Eric “The Natural” Kelly, Gustavo Falciroli, and five URCC Champions. Here’s some more news on ONE FC’s next event:
ONE FC’s next event, following Pride of a Nation, is scheduled for October 6th and will take place in Singapore. The venue for the event will be at the Singapore Indoor Stadium once again.
However, with the success that ONE FC has experienced over the last few months, selling out shows in Malaysia, Indonesia, and soon the Philippines, they will be aiming to fill up the stadium to its maximum capacity. Expect the event to be sold out with 12,500 fans filling up the Singapore Indoor stadium, making it the biggest MMA event ever to be staged in Singapore. It has also been confirmed that the promotion will crown its first ONE FC World Champions across multiple weight divisions at the event.
While no matches have been confirmed yet, our sources have told us that we can expect names such as DREAM Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki and UFC veteran Renato “Babalu” Sobral being on the card. We’re pretty sure that Singapore fans will get to see some local heroes in action as well, just like how past events featured Evolve’s Radeem Rahman, Nicole Chua, and Juggernaut FC’s Kim “The Hulk” Hock.
