After going 1-2 at light heavyweight since making his debut in the UFC in Nov. 2009, Jared “The Messenger” Hamman (11-3) will drop to middleweight for his next fight to take on Ultimate Fighter season 7 finalist C.B. “The Doberman” Dollaway (11-3) at UFC on Versus 5 scheduled for Aug. 14, in Milwaukee, Wis.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the match-up on Monday, stating both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.
Hamman last fought in Sept. 2010, losing a unanimous decision to Kyle Kingsbury at UFC Fight Night 22.
Dollaway was last in action in March when he suffered a first round KO loss to Mark Munoz at UFC on Versus 4. Overall, Dollaway has gone 5-3 during his three-year stint with the UFC.
