WEC featherweights Erik Koch (11-1) and Cub Swanson (15-4) will face each other in their respective UFC debuts at UFC Live on Versus 3 in Louisville, Ky., on March 3, according to MMAJunkie.com.
During his time in the WEC, Koch went 3-1 with a decision loss to undefeated contender Chad Mendes his only setback. At WEC 52, Koch picked up the KO of the night bonus with a headkick knockout of newcomer Francisco Rivera.
Swanson, meanwhile, was a staple on the WEC cards after the promotion was first purchased by UFC parent company Zuffa LLC. He went 6-3 with the WEC, dropping a decision to Mendes and suffering a first-round TKO at the hands of future champion Jose Aldo. Most recently, Swanson pulled off a split decision win over Mackens Semerzier in a three-round action-packed contest.
UFC on Versus 3 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann. The fight card also includes a bantamweight match-up between former WEC champion Brian Bowles and Damacio Page and a middleweight contest of Rousimar Palhares vs. Alexandre Ferreira.
