Frank Trigg taking a break from training at Xtreme Couture. Trigg will face BJJ stylist Roy Neeman on Nov. 9 in Israel.

An old friend to this site, Mr. Frank “Twinkle Toes” Trigg (19-8), returns to action in the “IFC: Genesis” co-main event against Roy “Popeye” Neeman on Nov. 9 in Tel Aviv, Israel, of all places. In this new interview Trigg talks about his opponent, who for all intents and purposes has had one professional fight.

Trigg says Neeman is a jiu-jitsu guy and has probably had many more fights than what his record shows. Trigg also talks about his undying love of training, traveling to Israel for the first time and the MMA scene there.

It seems Trigg is kind of taking it one fight at a time right now. After keeping himself in or near the top-10 for a few years and then getting a new contract with the UFC in 2009, Trigg dropped back-to-back fights against Josh Koscheck and Matt Serra before getting his walking papers.

Trigg has always performed well outside the UFC and could really make a decent living fighting in the smaller shows. Whether or not he continues fighting for a few more years or not, it is likely he will always be involved with the sport one way or another, either through commentating or possibly helping train or manage other fighters.

IFC: Genesis” takes place Tuesday, Nov. 9, and will be available for online viewing the next day, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at approximately 12 p.m. ET at GoFightLive.tv. Other bouts on the card include Jeff Monson vs. Sergey Shemetov, Ricco Rodriguez vs. Daniel Tabera, Hermes Franca vs. Moshe Kaitz, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Valdas Pocevicius and Vitaly Shemetov vs. Alexandro Ceconi, to name a few.
