UFC light heavyweight and former WEC champion Steve Cantwell suffered a knee injury this week that has forced him to withdraw from a scheduled bout against Stanislav Nedkov at UFC 120 in London this Saturday.

The UFC made the announcement after several media outlets reported the news earlier today.

Cantwell, who last fought in September 2009, has gone 1-2 since Zuffa merged the WEC’s 205-pound weight class into the UFC, dropping a decision to Luis Cane and losing a decision to Brian Stann in a rubber match between the two.

The UFC will not have a replacement bout for the scratched fight.
