Looking to erase the memory of the Diego Sanchez loss, lightweight Ross Pearson has agreed to fill in for Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night 47 in Maine. Green was tapped to replace Michael Johnson against Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX later this month. Pearson will go toe to toe with dynamic strike Abel Trujillo.

The Blackzilian Trujillo has knocked out back to back opponents. He earned both a “knockout of the night” and “fight of the night” bonus for his efforts. He has only one loss since getting his UFC contract and who can forget that No Contest in Indianapolis against Roger Bowling, a blemish he corrected with one of those knockouts.

Ross Pearson notched back to back wins of his own before a No Contest and the tragic judging job in New Mexico. He holds a couple of bonuses to his name as well since winning The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 back in 2009.

UFC Fight Night 47 goes down on August 16th in Bangor , Maine. Light heavyweights Ovince St. Preux and Ryan Bader will headline the night . Stay close to ProMMANow.com for more.
