[ads2]UFC officials have officially announced the UFC on FOX Sports 1:3 event for September 4 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The event will be headlined by the light heavyweight bout between TUF 8 winner Ryan Bader (15-3) and surging contender Glover Teixeira (21-2).

Also, a middleweight fight between former title contender Yushin Okami (29-7) and former Strikeforce middleweight champ Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will be on tap in the co-main event.

A bantamweight scrap between former title challenger Joseph Benavidez and Jussier Formiga has been verbally agreed upon as well.

Teixeira is coming off a his fourth consecutive win over James Te Huna at UFC 160, winning via first round submission. He hasn’t lost since 2005 and has rattled off 19 consecutive victories.

Bader was victorious in his last outing, defeating Vladimir Matyushenko via first round submission to rebound off from a crushing KO loss against Lyoto Machida. Bader has won three out of his last four, including a win over former UFC champion Rampage Jackson.

Okami is coming off a split decision win over Hector Lombard in his last outing. The former title contender has rattled off three consecutive wins since losing back-to-back fight against Anderson Silva and Tim Boetsch.

Souza is coming off successful submission win over Chris Camozzi in his UFC debut in May. Souza has rattled off four consecutive wins since losing his Strikeforce middleweight title to Luke Rockhold in September 2011.

This two hour event will serve as a lead-in show for season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter” with UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and nemesis Miesha Tate as coaches.
