India’s number one MMA promotion Super Fight League (SFL) today announced the signing of four new fighters. Jeff Monson, Satoshi Ishii, Rameau Sokoudjou, and Michael Page have all agreed to four fight exclusive deals.

These four men will join the likes of Todd Duffee, James Thompson, Paul Kelly, Trevor Prangley, and Professor X, all of whom are currently signed to the SFL.

Jeff Monson (46-13-1) who has competed for the UFC, PRIDE, Strikeforce, and DREAM is considered one of the world’s top grapplers. He is a two-time Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Champion and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion. Monson also holds the Heavyweight titles in the International Sport Karate Association and the Strength & Honor Championship. Monson is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt and also holds a Masters Degree in Psychology.

Here is what SFL CEO Ken Pavia had to say about signing Monson:

Jeff has achieved a high level of success fighting all over the world. We are very excited to add him to our roster and test him in our elite HW division. He is always entertaining and is one of the true personalities of the sport.”

Japanese Olympic Judo Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishii (4-2-1) is one of the most popular sports figures in Japan today. Ishii has trained at American Top Team, Xtreme Couture, and Blackhouse. Ishii holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in judo and boasts wins over Minowaman and Jerome LeBanner.

Here is what Ishii had to say:

“I’m excited to be a part of SFL. I expect great performances from myself and I am ready to fight.”

The “African Assassin” Rameau Sokoudjou (12-10) has fought for the WEC, PRIDE, UFC, DREAM, and Strikeforce in the past. The decorated judo champion has notable wins over Jan Blachowiz, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and Ricardo Arona. The former KSW Light Heavyweight Champion fights out of Team Quest and will now look to make a big impact in the SFL.

Here is what Ken Pavia said about signing Sokoudjou:

“There has never been such a thing as a boring Sokoudjou fight. We are in the entertainment business and he personifies entertainment. As many have found out, he has one and done power so don’t blink. I can’t wait to see him in his October debut with the SFL.”

British based welterweight kickboxing champion Michael Page (2-0) has made a huge impact in his short career, being dubbed the UK’s Anderson Silva due to his unconventional fighting style. One of the UK’s most promising young fighters, Page is an exciting addition to the SFL roster.
