According to multiple media reports, lightweights Joe Stevenson and Mac Danzig are set to compete at UFC 124. The card takes place on Dec. 11 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

MMAJunkie reported the fight on Wednesday.

Stevenson defeated Luke Cummo in the finals of the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” After the win, he immediately dropped to lightweight and has stayed there for the entirety of his UFC career.

After winning four fights in a row between 2006 and 2007, Stevenson fought B.J. Penn for the vacant lightweight title. Penn submitted Stevenson in the second round. Since that loss, Stevenson is 3-3 with wins over Nate Diaz and Spencer Fisher.

Danzig is also a TUF champion, He took the title for the show’s sixth season. Including his finale victory, Danzig is only 3-4 in the UFC. His wins have come against Tom Speer, Mark Bocek and Justin Buchholz. In his last fight, the referee awarded Matt Wiman the submission victory even though Danzig did not submit. The UFC has tried diligently to set up a rematch, but injuries keep preventing the bout.

A welterweight title fight will headline UFC 124. Champion Georges St. Pierre will defend his title against Josh Koscheck. The two fighters coached against each other on the twelfth season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” which is currently airing on Spike TV.
