The names of the 32 competitors have been released for the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter which premieres on April 1, immediately following Ultimate Fight Night 18 from Nashville. The format for this season will have Coach Michael Bisping leading his team of U.K. fighters and Coach Dan Henderson leading his team of U.S. fighters.

The first two episodes will consist of the 32 fighters battling it out to determine the sixteen who will get to stay in the house for the full season. The breakdown will consist of Team U.K. and Team U.S. each with eight fighters divided into four welterweights and four lightweights. The two teams will compete, culminating with one ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner from welterweight and one from lightweight.
