Chuck Liddell pencil drawing

You know those kids in school who would always be doodling and drawing during class? No matter what the teacher was teaching, you could look over at them and they wouldn’t be doing their work, but when you saw their paper at the end of class they would have some bad ass picture drawn. Would you like to see Chuck Liddell fight Kimbo Slice?

Does Kimbo Slice deserve the opportunity to fight someone like Chuck Liddell?
Does Kimbo Slice deserve the opportunity to fight a legend like Chuck Liddell?

Realistically, how big could a fight between “The Iceman” Chuck Liddell and Kimbo Slice be? Let’s face it; neither fighter is going to hold a title in the UFC. Chuck’s been there and done that. And Kimbo never will. But as far as pure entertainment goes, I can’t think of a much more exciting fight than Chuck Liddell vs. Kimbo Slice.

Liddell, on Sherdog Radio Monday, talked about the possibility. “Why would anyone even want to see me fight Kimbo?” asked Liddell. “I have no interest in that fight. Whatever. It is what it is. I guess I’d do it, if that’s who I had to fight to come back.”

“The Iceman” said he needed some time off from fighting, and Dancing with the Stars not only gave him something productive to focus on, it helped him stay in shape. Now that he is back in the gym he wants to see how things go, see how he feels, and make the decision whether to step back in the Octagon or not.

Chuck Liddell prepares to go on “Dancing with the Stars”

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – It won’t be Tito Ortiz, Rashad Evans, Wanderlei Silva, or Randy Couture in front of him, but on Monday, September 21st, when UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell makes his debut on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”, the stage may have changed, but the intent hasn’t.

“I want to win,” Liddell told UFC.com. “I don’t like losing in anything, so I’ll work as hard as they’ll let me.”

“The Iceman” will join 15 other celebrities on the hit series, in the process becoming the first mixed martial artist to compete on DWTS. But Liddell, the sport’s first true crossover star, is comfortable with being an ambassador for MMA, and looking forward to having some fun in the process.

Saturday could be the last time Chuck Liddell fights in the Octagon

“[This] might be the last time you ever see Chuck Liddell fight live or on television; the legend, the Iceman, the man who helped build mixed martial arts.” That was UFC President Dana White’s answer Thursday to radio show host, Carmichael Dave, when he asked White if there was anything he wanted to say to the fans about UFC 97, which takes place this Saturday night, April 18th in Montreal.

After hearing those sad words, Dave replied, “Jesus, you really want to say that?” “Yes. He’s one of my best friends, but this could be it. He helped build this business, but this might be his last fight ever,” said the UFC President.

Chuck Liddell is the favorite to win his fight against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua tomorrow night, according to the odds on BetUS.com. They have Liddell at -200 and “Shogun” at +150.
