mayweather vs bertoIn this first episode of ‘All Access: Mayweather vs. Berto’ Floyd Mayweather shows off his basketball skills in a pick-up game with NBA stars like Isaiah Thomas, who is on the opposing team. Floyd even smack talks on the court, though we shouldn’t be surprised.

The outspoken boxing icon reeks of charisma and money seemingly riding a wave of confidence all the way to the bank. Still unbeaten at 48-0, Floyd plans to retire after his fight with Andre Berto on Sept. 12th in Las Vegas.

The 30-3 31-year-old Berto knows the cards are stacked against him but wants to shock the world by upsetting the pound-for-pound great. While Berto is focused on his training complete with a nutritionist and organic diet, Floyd seems to get by on burgers and shakes.

There’s a touching scene in this episode with Floyd’s uncle and former trainer Roger Mayweather. He’s in very bad health and it’s hard to watch, and it’s hard for Floyd as he was very close with his uncle. It’s a sad reminder of what awaits many of these pugilists who put their health and life on the line to make a living and to entertain us.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Andre Berto is scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will broadcast live on Showtime Pay-Per-View. It will be Mayweather’s retirement fight, tying Rocky Marciano’s record of 49-0 if he wins.
