Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will take on former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem on November 16 at UFC 167 according to the official UFC Twitter account.
Both fighters are coming off multiple losses with the loser of this fight being in real danger of being released from the promotion.
Mir (16-8) has lost three consecutive fights, including a first round TKO loss to Josh Barnett in his last outing at UFC 164.
Overeem (36-13, 1NC) has been knocked out in back-to-back fights after winning his UFC debut against Brock Lesnar at UFC 141.
The UFC 167 event will be headlined by the UFC welterweight title fight between champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Johny Hendricks.
