The UFC confirmed the news last night via their website that former TUF season six winner Mac Danzig will face season eight winner Efrain Escudero at UFC 145 in Montreal in a lightweight matchup.
Mac Danzig (20-9-1) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Matt Wiman last October. Danzig is in a tough position as he has gone (2-2) in his last four and had lost three straight prior to that.
Efrain Escudero (18-4) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jacob Volkmann this past weekend at UFC 141. It was his first fight back in the UFC since being released back in September 2011 after a loss to Charles Oliveria. Escudero spent time in smaller shows going (5-1) to earn his way back to the UFC for the Volkmann fight. Both fighters badly need a win to assert themselves in the crowded lightweight division.
The tentative UFC 145 can be found below:

- Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs
- Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell
