Show 121 and I hope you are ready for us to end the year with a bang. Our first guest is a man known by three initials and it ain’t GSP, our second guest just took the belt home with him after collecting a nice size check for winning a tourney to get his title shot. Kicking off the second hour is a man who knows what it’s like to win and do it big and now he plans to do it in MMA.
Ovince Saint Preux
First up is a man that is riding an eight fight win streak and continues to prove that he has what it takes to survive in this sport. I told you he goes by three letters, O-S-P. That’s right we got Ovince Saint Preux. Ovince has a story to talk about and you know we won’t waste any time getting right into it. If you don’t know about Ovince St. Preux’s story sit down and get ready to get blown away.
Not only was the kid a star wrestler growing up, but he was a beast on the gridiron. OSP ended up lettering for the University of Tennessee playing football, but tried out for the pros twice. This is where the story gets interesting and leads OSP into the cage. Make sure to tune in as we get to know the man known as OSP and talk with him about his upcoming fight against Gegard Mousasi at Strikeforce 37 on December17th. Follow OSP on twitter at @003_OSP.
Michael Chandler
Our second guest this week has a nice new belt sitting on the mantel and a fat check in the bank. Our next guest is not only the last man to win the Bellator Lightweight Tournament, but also the latest man to take home the belt and beat Eddie Alvarez. Yeah we got Michael Chandler in the shop to talk about his recent win, being undefeated, fighting on the big stage since his second fight, and so much more.
Mike is not new to the act of winning, I mean the guy was a beast on the mat before he ever became a beast in the cage. We will talk to Michael about his time wrestling, making the transition over to MMA, working with our good friend Gil Martinez, fighting out of Xtreme Couture, and much more. Tune in and get ready for an interview worthy of a champ, cause we got him in the shop! Follow Mike on twitter at @MikeChandlerMMA.
Bubba Jenkins
Our third guest was a member of the Penn State Wrestling squad before being asked to not return. He did what most guys would do, he went home. Unlike most guys though he picked up right where he left off and joined the Arizona State squad where he ended up pinning his former teams new Freshman to win the National Title. That’s right Bubba Jenkins is in the shop fresh off his pro debut where it only took him two minutes and some change.
We will talk to Bubba about his turn to MMA, his wrestling days and so much more. All I can tell you is that the man brings fireworks on the mat, inside the cage, and you don’t think you are going to get fireworks when the man is up in the Barber Shop. In the words of Ed Lover, C’MON SON! This is one Bubba Jenkins interview you won’t want to miss cause we do it like no one else! Follow Bubba on Twitter at @2sinsurrJenkins.
