UFC Nottingham: Pickett vs. Jabouin and Ogle vs. Corassani slated, tickets go on sale this week

Today the UFC made their trip to Nottingham, England official and they also announced a few fights for the event. Brad Pickett (21-6) will face Yves Jabouin (16-7) and TUF contestant Andy Ogle (8-1) will take on Akira Corassani (9-3) in a lightweight bout at the event that’s set to take place at the Capital FM Arena on September 29th.

The UFC returns to the U.K. on Sept. 29th at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena

This past weekend it was announced that the UFC will be returning to the U.K. on September 29th. No official broadcasting plans have been made yet but various rumours suggest that it may be a UFC on Fuel TV event.

The event will take place at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. If the show is on Fuel TV it will air live internationally, this is a welcome benefit linked to the Fox deal which was made earlier this year. In the past shows held within the U.K. Have aired via tape delay in the U.S. But this would no longer be the case allowing fans to tune into the action as it happens.

Paul “Semtex” Daley lands four-fight UFC deal (updated)

Former Cage Rage Welterweight Champion Paul “Semtex” Daley (21-8-2) has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC according to Fighters Only.

Daley is an impressive striker with 16 of his 21 wins coming by way of (T)KO. His most recent fight was back in April where he scored a first round TKO over Junior Barata (5-2-1). Daley was originally scheduled to fight on the Aug. 1 “Affliction: Trilogy” card against Jay Hieron.

“Semtex” is a native of Nottingham, England, and although he would fit in perfectly on the UFC’s future U.K. cards, it is believed the UFC wants to use him on their U.S. cards as well.
