UFC officials announced that there were four fighters from the UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche event that took home bonus money. Robbie Lawler, Kenny Robertson, Dennis Bermudez and Matt Grice all took home $50,000.

The UFC 157 event took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The main event saw Ronda Rousey retain her UFC women’s bantamweight title by submitting Liz Carmouche with a first round armbar. It was her seventh consecutive professional win via first round armbar submission.

The “Fight of the Night” award went to Dennis Bermudez and Matt Grice who put on an incredible fight. Both fighters overcame adversity early in the fight and put on a third round that was an instant classic which was fueled by an incredible pace set by Bermudez.

The “Submission of the Night” award went to Kenny Robertson who submitted Brock Jardine with a modified kneebar from back mount. It was an unusual submission as Robertson had back mount with a high position and simply reached over and grabbed Jardine’s leg for the kneebar that forced Jardine to tap.

The “Knockout of the Night” award went to Robbie Lawler for his first round upset knockout win over Josh Koscheck. Lawler survived a couple of takedowns and landed a nice right hand in a scramble before pouncing on Koscheck with punches which forced the referee to call a stop to the action.
