Terry Etim will face Eddie Faaloloto at UFC 138

The UFC 138 event will feature a lightweight matchup between England’s own Terry Etim and Eddie Faaloloto which will take place this Saturday in the United Kingdom. This fight is a measuring stick of sorts with Faaloloto on the likely verge of being released from the promotion with a third consecutive loss, and Etim being out of action for quite some time will be looking to insert himself back into the mix. Let’s see how this one shakes out.

Edward Faaloloto comes into this fight with a career record of (5-2) with 3 wins via TKO/KO. He was last seen in action back in June losing to TUF finalist Michael Johnson via TKO.

Terry Etim comes into this fight with a career record of (14-3) with 11 wins via submission and 2 wins via TKO/KO. Etim was last seen in action losing to the always tough Raphael dos Anjos via submission back at UFC 112. Etim is

Bet on Fighting has Etim as the betting favorite at (-600) and Faaloloto as the underdog at (+400).

There’s no doubt that Etim is the heavy favorite, but I’m not sure he should be favored this much being that he hasn’t fought in almost a year and a half. Etim should have the advantage pretty much everywhere in this fight. He often uses combinations of hard low kicks with a steady jab while standing and has a very good guillotine choke as well. Etim will have about a 3 inch reach advantage which should bode well for his striking. Etim usually has problems with guys that are able to take him down and control him on the ground, and Faaloloto doesn’t have the pedigree to do that in my opinion.

I think Etim hurts Faaloloto standing but finishes him with a submssion.
