“XFC 8: Regional Conflict” airs live from Knoxville on HDNet this Saturday, April 25

Two months ago, on February 20th, the Xtreme Fighting Championships made MMA history when they came to Knoxville and put on the first ever legally sanctioned professional MMA card in Tennessee history.

On Saturday, April 25th, Xtreme Fighting Championships will make history again as they return to the Volunteer State to hold “XFC 8: Regional Conflict.” It will be the first ever MMA event in Tennessee to be broadcast on HDNet. The action takes place at the Thompson-Boling Arena beginning at 7:00pm ET and the live HDNet broadcast starts at 9:00pm ET.

PRO MMA (promma.info) received this official statement today from XFC President, John Prisco, regarding the recent rumor Bobby Lashley was fighting at XFC 8: REGIONAL CONFLICT against Marcus Jones. One MMA website published this rumor, then the copy and pasting began and soon it was being reported all over the internet as the gospel truth.

“It’s come to our attention that a rumor has started circulating that Bobby Lashley will be fighting Marcus Jones at XFC 8: ‘Regional Conflict’ on Saturday, April 25 – a show featuring the fastest-rising young prospects and top emerging superstars from Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky and North Carolina in contender-versus-contender bouts, airing exclusively nationwide on HDNet. XFC announces first two fights for their first live, nationally televised MMA event

Former UT linebacker, Ovince St. Preux will fight at XFC 8 in Knoxville

PRO MMA (promma.info) has received word from the XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championship) on the first two officially signed fights for their April 25th card, which will be held on the University of Tennessee Campus in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The XFC held the first professional mixed martial arts event in Tennessee history on February 20th, 2009 in Knoxville and now they are returning for another “first.” The April 25th event will be the XFC’s first nationally televised fight card and will broadcast LIVE on HDNet. This is a big step for the XFC promotion as well as MMA in Tennessee.
