Saturday night longtime ProMMAnow.com friend, documentarian and photographer Jacob Klensin attended World Series of Fighting 5 (WSOF 5) at Revel in Atlantic City, N.J. The event saw former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski take home a hard fought unanimous decision over the heavy-handed Mike Kyle in the night’s headliner. Also, Dave Branch secured a unanimous decision over Danillo Villefort, Derrick Mehman knocked out Rolles Gracie, Jr. in round two, and Georgi Karakhanyan submitted Waylon Lowe in the opening frame. Heavyweight Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski (20-10) wanted to prove to his doubters that he can still take a punch. He took several of them from a bruising Mike “MAK” Kyle (20-10-1) but picked himself up off the canvas to score an impressive decision win on the main event of Saturday’s World Series of Fighting 5 fight card.
The official weigh in for World Series of Fighting 5 “Arlovski vs. Kyle” on NBCSN took place on Friday at the Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. The five-bout televised broadcast will air LIVE on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Main-event heavyweight Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski (19-10) weighed in at 240 pounds even while his opponent Mike “MAK” Kyle (20-9-1) tipped the scales at 218.5 pounds.
A trio of contests have been added to September’s “World Series of Fighting 5: Arlovski vs. Kyle” lineup, as Rick “The Gladiator” Glenn (13-2-1) meets Artur Rofi (6-0), Ozzy Dugulubgov (4-1) faces Andrew “Ozzy” Osbourne (7-5) and Sidemar “Sideco” Honorio (8-3) takes on Jimmie “El Terror” Rivera (12-1).

ProMMAnow.com talks with Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (15-4), who is currently riding a five-fight win streak (three by way of (T)KO) and is 2-0 inside the World Series of Fighting cage. The former UFC light heavyweight standout was scheduled to return to action on Sept. 14 against Mike Kyle at WSOF 5, but suffered a hand injury and was forced to withdraw from the bout.
