On Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, World Championship Fighting returned to the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Mass. with “WCF 8.” Headlining the sold-out event was WEC veteran Mike Campbell taking on Mike Medrano. Campbell ended up finishing Medrano via ground-and-pound just 3:12 into the opening round and improving his record to 5-2.

The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights contestant Kimbo Slice served as special guest at the event, signing autographs and taking photos with the fans. ┬áHere are the official results from “WCF 8:”

Full fight card and brand new promo video for WCF 8 – Event takes place Sept. 26

Boston, Mass. September 9, 2009 – World Championship Fighting today announced their full fight card for their September 26th show at the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Mass. World Championship Fighting’s “WCF 7” results

On June 27, 2009 World Championship Fighting presented what many fans are calling their best fight card ever, live from the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, Mass.

The WCF 7 main event featured two of New England’s best middleweights in Woody Weatherby from Renzo Gracie NH and Dan Keefe, from Brickhouse Fight Team.

The fight was a war from start to finish with Keefe controlling most of the action, and Weatherby landing the cleaner strikes.

Dan “The Upgrade” Lauzon to fight at WCF 5 on Nov.14

UFC veteran, Dan “The Upgrade” Lauzon will return to the ring against Justin “Sledge” Hammerstrom on Nov. 14, 2008 as World Championship Fighting (WCF) visits Aleppo Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Lauzon is on a very impressive six fight win streak and although he has a fight already scheduled with Chris Horodecki on an early 2009 pay-per-view, he wanted to take this fight with Hammerstrom to help keep his momentum going.

“I’ve fought for them [WCF] three times now and they take great care of me, and I love fighting for them in front of their fans and my friends and family. These (Boston) fans really are the best sports fans in the world.”
