UFC 234 poster revealed with Gastelum and Whittaker front and center

2019 is already shaping up to be a good year for MMA fans. In February at UFC 234 we are getting A title fight between middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and a man some think can dethrone him in Kelvin Gastelum. Also on the card is a legitimate potential passing of the torch when former middleweight king Anderson Silva essentially fights a younger version of himself in Israel Adesanya. It all goes down on February 10th at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. Check out the poster reveal courtesy of UFC Aus/New Zealand’s Twitter.

Kelvin Gastelum stares fate in the face at UFC 234 presser staredown

UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will defend against surging contender Kelvin Gastelum in his next bout. In Gastelum’s two fights we saw him defeat Ronaldo Souza via split decision and Michael Bisping via KO in the first round. Whittaker is on a nine fight win streak capped off by back to back decision victories over Yoel Romero who is probably the most dangerous fighter he has faced to date. UFC 225 open workout recap

UFC 225 takes place in Chicago on Saturday and we are getting a solid card. The return of CM Punk, Romero vs Whittaker 2, and the most electric grudge match of 2018 so far in Rafael Dos Anjos vs Colby Covington. Holly Holm looks to get back on track with a win over Megan Anderson, Alistair Overeem isn’t on the main card, and Rashad heads up the prelims. This card is all over the place and awesome.
