War Machine post UWC 6 comments

Since being ostracized by both the UFC and Bellator, War Machine has hit the local circuit. This past weekend he made his UWC debut at their “Capital Punishment” card. He had a little more trouble than expected with Reshad Woods, but in the end was able to finish the fight in the second round. The always outspoken, War Machine, talked to reporters after his fight. PRO MMA (promma.info) staff writer Richard Mann was there.

During the fight War Machine continually pressed forward trying to take Woods to the ground. Apparently, this was his strategy going into the fight. Machine told reporters, “I knew he was a kick boxer, and he he’s got a long reach on me. So, you know, I just wanted to get it on the ground. That’s where I’m stronger than him.”

UWC 6: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT preview

PRO MMA (promma.info) will be on hand as the Washington, DC area’s number one MMA promotion, UWC (Ultimate Warrior Challenge) returns to the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA this Saturday, April 25th, with “Capital Punishment.”

Multiple fights for the card have fallen through, but promoter Marcello Foran and the matchmaking team have done a fine job keeping the card together.

PRO MMA exclusive interview: War Machine

PRO MMA (promma.info) had the unique pleasure of speaking with War Machine this past weekend. He has a fight coming up on April 25th in the UWC so we wanted to catch up with the TUF veteran, see how his training was coming along, what he has been up to, as well as future plans.

War Machine talked to us about a number of topics including his upcoming opponent, training partners, recent legal issues, Dana White, the UFC, women, life in Vegas, his first exposure to MMA, military school, and much more.

“War Machine” takes on Reshad Woods at UWC: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT on April 25th

The ULTIMATE WARRIOR CHALLENGE lands at the nation’s Capital on Saturday, April 25th, with UWC: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. PRO MMA (promma.info) will be live on hand at the George Mason University Patriot Center Arena in Fairfax, Virginia to cover all the action.

The event will feature a UWC Bantamweight Title fight between Mike “The Hulk” Easton (6-1) and Josh “Taz” Ferguson (6-1) and a co-main event between former UFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter contestant, War Machine (7-2), who will be taking on local standout and Lloyd Irvin-trained Reshad Woods (4-1).
