Dana White claims Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be fighting soon in the UFC – fight with Evans in jeopardy

At the UFC 107 pre-fight press conference on Thursday in Memphis, Tenn., UFC President Dana White confirmed that former light heavyweight champion Quinon “Rampage” Jackson will be returning to the UFC in the near future.

The original plan was to have “Suga” Rashad Evans and Jackson fight each other in Jackson’s home town of Memphis, Tenn. following their stint as coaches on this season of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights.

However, before the fight could take place, Jackson announced his retirement from the sport, and his intention of becoming a full-time movie actor. White was bewildered, and the MMA world was in an uproar over the former champion’s refusal to fight Evans after an entire season of TUF showed the two at each other’s throats.

BJ Penn says, “I wouldn’t mind seeing Lyoto knock Rashad Evans the F out”

Wednesday at 3pm PT / 5pm ET BJ Penn was a guest on a new BJPenn.com radio show that will be airing weekly on his website. It was the first interview the UFC Lightweight Champion has given since losing a Welterweight Title Fight to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 94.

Although BJPenn.com does host the radio show they did not take it easy on the Hawaiian with the questions. BJ seemed honest in his assessment of what happened during the fight and admitted he got his “ass kicked.” He also revealed that he has not seen the fight yet and could not really remember anything past the second round and may have suffered a concussion.
