For the past several years, the Maximum Fighting Championship has welcomed the holiday season with the Z-Files’ MFC year-end awards, generally focusing on the Top 10 Knockouts and Submissions.
Former PRIDE fighter Luiz Azeredo will replace UFC vet Matt Veach against submission ace Rene Nazare at Bellator 39 on April 2.
Bellator 39 takes place Saturday night on MTV 2 and features Eddie Alvarez vs. Pat Curran in a lightweight title fight.

The UFC announced that Roy Nelson, Mark Bocek, Frankie Edgar and Matt Veach, each earned $25,000 fight-night bonuses for their performances at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.
The event took place Saturday night at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and aired live on Spike TV.
The night’s “Knockout of the Night” award went to Roy Nelson, Edgar and Veach scrapped their way to “Fight of the Night” bonuses for each, while the “Submission of the Night” award went to Mark Bocek.
