It is customary for winners of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ to be awarded a six figure contract with the UFC and the security of knowing they are now in with the most successful organization in MMA. This is the feeling that veterans Joe Stevenson (29-10 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Mac Danzig (18-6-1 MMA, 2-2 UFC) both have had the opportunity to experience. Both have been in the game a long time and dedicated their lives to get to the top.
Now both fighters find themselves in a rather uncomfortable situation of being on two fight losing streaks with their security in the UFC possibly in jeopardy. Sources close to the fighters’ camps have informed PRO MMA (promma.info) that there is a strong likelihood Stevenson and Danzig will meet in the Octagon later in the year, possibly this summer.
