Despite his recent loss to Kimbo Slice at the TUF 10 Finale, and Dana White’s insistence that Houston Alexander (9-5) would be cut from the UFC roster, the father of six claims he nor his manager, Monte Cox, have received notice of his release, and “…until that happens, I’m not released,” says Alexander.
Maybe it’s just a matter of semantics, and the axe will drop any day now, but it has been two weeks since his Kalib Starnes-esque performance on Dec. 5. And other fighters on that same card have been released – namely, Justin Wren.
Is it possible White has had second thoughts and decided to keep Alexander, who debuted in the Octagon with a bang, knocking out both Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara in the first round?
