UFC officials have announced two additional bouts for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 42 event that’s set for June 7 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Two former UFC flyweight title contenders will meet when John Dodson takes on John Moraga. Also, a bantamweight bout between Sergio Pettis and Yaotzin Meza has been added to the card.
The injury bug strikes again and Scott Jorgensen awaits his third opponent for UFC on FOX 9. It was announced that John Dodson has suffered a knee injury and has been forced out of his flyweight bout with Jorgensen next week. This leaves little time for UFC officials to find a replacement to fight in the flyweight spot.
Ian McCall has been pulled from the event with a broken hand and will be replaced by John Dodson.Dodson (15-6) is coming off a “Knockout of the Night” performance in his last outing against UFC newcomer Darrell Montague at UFC 166.
