Sonnen feels Jones won’t be as good in Gus rematch, Cormier stays at heavyweight

According to Chael P Sonnen we will see a ‘diminished’ Jon Jones in his rematch against Alexander Gustafsson later this year. He also makes it clear that Daniel Cormier should not drop down to fight Jon again for a third time at the 205 pound limit. Daniel is almost 40 and cutting weight doesn’t get easier with age so the heavyweight champ should stay at heavyweight. Just listen to everything Sonnen says and tell us he doesn’t make sense.

Sonnen says Askren calling out everyone because he was picked on

Who in the world would pick on Ben Askren? We will admit that we think Ben was unfairly judged by Dana White and that it was easy for everyone in the UFC who wanted to trash talk, call him out because there was zero chance there would be a real chance to take him on. Chael Sonnen says Cowboy vs McGregor is a real possibility

Conor McGregor just lost the biggest fight of his career and Cowboy Cerrone just set the records for wins (21) and finishes (15) in the UFC at Fight Night 139. With his crushing defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov still leaving a bad taste in the Irishman’s mouth, McGregor needs a big name opponent to get his mojo back and record breaking Cerrone just might fit the bill. Even Chael Sonnen was convinced Mayweather was really fighting in RIZIN

Oh, Chael. Sometimes you are too trusting. First we all thought Floyd Mayweather Jr was fighting in RIZIN until he got amnesia today about the type of bout it was, and the audience, and the rules, and and and. He was convincing though, he really was. He was so convincing that Chael P Sonnen himself thought it was going to happen. In the video posted 14 hours before we reported that Mayweather was out of the RIZIN bout, Sonnen was certain it was going to happen. Watch this and you may be convinced it still might.

Sonnen believes Smith is number one contender at 205

If there’s ever a guy in the history of the world that looks like an MMA fighter it’s Anthony Smith according to Chael P Sonnen. Smith is on a three fight win streak right now and has gone 5-1 in his last 6. He’s knocked out Rashad Evans, knocked out Shogun Rua, and submitted Volkan Oezdemir most likely putting him next in line for the winner of Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232.
