Mann Talk – Weekend preview featuring Shooto, XFO and Wrestling

Takeshi Inoue
Takeshi Inoue

This weekend could be considered the calm before the storm. Next weekend will be stacked with Strikeforce and the FCF women’s tournament. However, there are still some quality local cards and, of course, collegiate wrestling. Please support the future MMA champions by watching wrestling on the Big Ten Network. On Friday at 8:00 p.m. Indiana takes on Wisconsin and then on Sunday at 10:00 p.m. Ohio State faces Penn State (all times eastern).

Shooto The Way of Shooto 1
Takeshi Inoue vs. Gerald Lovato

Earlier this week Takeshi Inoue came out in the media and asked for a fight with Hatsu Hioki. Instead he gets a non-title fight against Gerald Lovato. Inoue might not really be a top-ten fighter, but he is still light years ahead of Lovato. His only real chance to win is to come out looking for the big shot. Look for Inoue to capitalized on a gassed out Lovato late and secure a TKO stoppage.
Pick = Takeshi Inoue

Projekt Label fighter Chad “Savage” George (10-4) was recently invited to Japan to train with the camp of Japanese Shooto legend Rumina Sato. Being that Chad has a fight coming up on Nov. 14 against Greg Guzman at “Called Out MMA 2,” he saw this as the perfect opportunity to train with some of the top lighter weight fighters in the world, and as a special treat for us he is keeping a blog of his trip. Be sure to check back each day to see how things are going with Chad during this very unique experience.

DAY 1

Today is the first installment of my blog for the ROAD TO JAPAN. Today we finish out my last day of hard training here in Los Angeles with my team at the PKG Training Center. Stay tuned for day-to-day updates on my training camp and experience in Japan leading up to my fight November 14th! Thanks to Projekt Label and Inspirit USA we can share this experience with the world!
