Austin Lyons makes pro debut at “Ultimate Chaos” on June 27

On the undercard of this Saturday night’s “Ultimate Chaos” card taking place at the Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss., 21-year-old Austin Lyons will make his pro MMA debut in a welterweight showdown against Memphis, Tenn. fighter John Harris.

Austin Lyons talked about his upcoming big night, “I’ve been thinking about it lately, and I’m going to be star-struck with all of the big names on the card. I’m going to feel like I’m walking on the red carpet. I’m looking forward to meeting all of them and, hopefully, making valuable contacts for my MMA career.”

Bob “The Beast” Sapp weighs in on his upcoming fight with Bobby Lashley

On May 15th Bobby Lashley put his opponent, Mike Cook, to sleep just twenty-four seconds into the first round at Maximum Fighting Championship’s “MFC 21: Hard Knocks” at the River Cree Hotel and Casino just outside Alberta, Canada.

The eyes of the MMA world have been on the former WWE superstar since first entering the real world of professional mixed martial arts last December. Since that time, the 6’3″ 250-pound heavyweight has put together an impressive 3-0 record.

On June 27th Lashley will face his toughest challenge to date when he gets in the cage with 6’4″ 350-pound former NFL football player Bob “The Beast” Sapp at “Ultimate Chaos” at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Bobby Lashley vs Bob Sapp – “Ultimate Chaos” full fight card announced (Tom Atencio to fight)

PRO MMA ( recently learned, from Ricky H. Derouen, President of Fight Force Intl. that his company has partnered with Prize Fight Promotions to present “Ultimate Chaos” in Biloxi, Mississippi. The star studded event will take place on June 27th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

“We are co-promoting the event [along with Prize Fight Promotions]. Our organization has promoted 15 MMA events successfully in the Southeast. We are partnering with Prize Fight to bring the events to the next level.” Said Derouen.

The PPV card’s main event will be the widely reported match of Bobby Lashley going against Bob “The Beast” Sapp. Also on the main card will be former UFC heavyweight champion Pedro “The Rock” Rizzo going up against former Pride veteran Gilbert Yvel. Also on the PPV card is Chris Horodecki vs William Sriyapai and Brett Cooper vs Waachim Spiritwolf, who is a teamate of jiu-jitsu ace Dean “The Boogeyman” Lister.

Bobby Lashley to fight Bob Sapp

According to a recent update on his page, former WWE star Bobby Lashley has signed an agreement to fight former Pride behemoth, Bob “The Beast” Sapp. The bout is reportedly set to take place on June 27 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi, and will be promoted by Prize Fight Promotions.

Lashley, now 2-0 in his young MMA career, most recently won a unanimous decision over Jason Guida, at “March Badness” in Pensacola, Florida. His first fight was a 41 second destructive TKO victory over MMA rookie Joshua Franklin at “Mixed Fighting Alliance: Bad Blood”.

Bob Sapp is a giant, both literally and figuratively, in the Japanese fight scene. The 300 plus pound Sapp has fought in Strikeforce, Pride, and K-l, and has amassed a 10-3-1 record. Sapp was victorious in his last fight over a masked Akihito Tanaka, and has won five of his last six bouts.

FFI: Blood & Sand VI set for Nov. 22 in Biloxi

Fight Force International comes to Biloxi, Mississippi on Saturday Nov. 22, 2008 to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.   Blood & Sand VI will feature a FFI Heavyweight Title Fight between Jonathan Brown vs. Ken Sparks.  

There will also be a FFI Super-Heavyweight fight on the card featuring Wes Shivers at 300 lbs. vs. Brad “Mongo” Tidwell at 325 lbs.   There is a total of 20 fights scheduled for the event which starts at 7 pm.
