Trevor Prangley fighting for Shark Fights title

Shark Fights Promotions have announced that the recently released MFC light heavyweight champion, Trevor Prangley, has agreed to fight for their organization.

As many may recall, Prangley was stripped of his belt and released from the MFC for violating an exclusivity clause in his contract.

According to the latest Twitter update from Shark Fights, his agreeing to fight for their light heavyweight title was the cause of the firing from the MFC.  “MFC cuts and strips Trevor Prangley of his title and contract for fighting for the belt for Shark Fight Promotions, their loss, our gain” is what Brent Medley, Shark Fights matchmaker, tweeted.

Jeremy Horn submits Jason Guida at “Arena Rumble” on Sept. 12 – full results

Local favorites and MMA veterans alike were featured at “Arena Rumble” in Spokane, Wash. on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009. In the main event 100+ fight veteran Jeremy Horn submitted Jason Guida (brother of UFC lightweight Clay Guida) with an armbar at 4:03 of the first round.

Also on the card was MMA veteran and current MFC champion Trevor Prangley who ended his bout in a mere 18 seconds of the very first round by knocking out Dennis Reed.

Undefeated Strikeforce contender and local favorite Lyle Beerbohm took out his opponent Josh Martin at 1:28 of round one with a knockout and UFC vet Terry Martin defeated Julio Paulino with a third round knockout of his own.

Jeremy Horn vs. Jason Guida headline veteran-packed “Arena Rumble” card set to hit Spokane Saturday night

The highly anticipated first “Arena Rumble” event debuts this Saturday night at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Wash. The card’s roster consists of a multitude of UFC and Strikeforce veterans, as well as some of the top MMA talent in the northwest.

Former UFC star, and one of the most experienced fighters still active, Jeremy Horn will take on Jason Guida in the co-main event. With a record of 81-19-5, Horn is on a very short list of active fighters with over 100 professional MMA bouts.
