International MMA spotlight: Poland’s KSW promotion

We are PROMMA.INFO – Google’s number one source for professional mixed martial arts information. In staying true to our moniker and mission, from time-to-time we will be spotlighting various MMA organizations, fighters, and gyms from around the world.

In this segment we will take a look at Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW). In English, the name means “Martial Arts Confrontation.” Founded in 2004, KSW is Poland’s premiere MMA organization, and all but one of their events have been held in Warsaw. The majority of KSW evenst air live on various television networks throughout Europe.

The promotion is probably most known for its four and eight-man tournaments which take place over the course of one night. Notable names that have fought for KSW that many American fight fans will recognize include Jason Guida, Antonio Mendes, Jordan Radev, Peter Sobota, and Mamed Khalidov, to name a few.
