Ashlee Evans-Smith (2-0) was the big winner on the night in Coral Gables Florida at CFA 12. The featherweight was looking to upset Fallon Fox (3-1) in the CFA tournament and bank herself $20,000. That is exactly what she did. Evans-Smith pounded her way to victory in the third round after a very hard fought fight.

Glory 11 brings kickboxing to the masses tonight

Spike TV is broadening their combat sports coverage and it starts tonight with Glory 11 live from Chicago. Crossover sensation Tyrone Spong will go toe to to with a familiar dancing partner in Nathan Corbett. Corbett knocked Spong out in 2007 but it was ruled a no contest after some confusion over referee instructions.

Bellator 103 results: ‘Pitbull’ and Wilcox advance to featherweight finals

The Bellator 103 event took place on Friday night at the Kansas Star Arena and aired live on Spike TV. The event was headlined by a the Season 9 Featherweight Tournament Semifinals Patricio Freire and Fabricio Guerreiro with Freire taking the unanimous decision to advance to the finals. Justin Wilcox used his wrestling to stifle Joe Taimanglo to win a unanimous decision, and David Rickels defeated J.J. Ambrose via third round TKO in front of his hometown crowd.

Legacy FC 24 quick results: Ferreira, Cejudo, and Holm remain undefeated

The Legacy 24 event took place on Friday night in Allen, Texas, and featured a trio of up and coming fighters looking to continue their winning ways. Carlos Diego Ferreira, Henry Cejudo, and Holly Holm all were victorious with both Ferreira and Cejudo winning via unanimous decisions. However, Holly Holm continued her impressive string of TKO’s with a second round finish over the tough Nikki Knudsen.

Invicta FC 7 tripleheader set for December 7

Women’s world championship Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion Invicta Fighting Championships will return to Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City with a stacked, nine-bout event featuring three world title fights, including a main event showdown between reigning flyweight champion Barb Honchak (8-2) of Bettendorf, Iowa and three-time “Fight of the Night” winner Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith (6-3-1) of Pleasanton, Calif.

Why Cutting Palhares was the Right Move

First off, I want to say that I have a tremendous amount of respect for Rousimar Palhares as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and as a fighter; well at least I did before some of his recent antics. With that being said, Palhares is a complete and total scumbag; I think Chael’s next rant of despicable Brazilians should include Palhares for not only what he did recently to Pierce, but to a range of other competitors in the past.

Bellator 103 – Rosa vs Zayats breakdown

During the main card of the Bellator 103 fight card in Kansas we are going to see a war between two of Bellator’s best Light Heavyweights when Aaron Rosa takes on Mikhail Zayats. Rosa has fought at the highest level of the sports in both Strikeforce and the UFC having taken victories in both. Invicta FC puts 3 titles on the line for announced December 7th event

Invicta Fighting Championships announced today that they will return to the Ameristar Casino and Hotel in Kansas City for their next event. Christmas comes earlier for WMMA fans as December 7th will be the date that three Invicta titles will be on the line and six additional fights to support them.
